What is ServeView?

ServeView is the innovative implementation of technology on’s story pages that intelligently renders ads when and where users can actually see them.  This means that ads appear only within the viewable area of a consumer’s display.  ServeView works for each individual ad on every browser and every screen size.

How does it work?

When a story page loads, consumers interact with the video, text, photos and other content on the page.  As that is happening, the ServeView technology seamlessly runs on the page and will only render the ad once the ad location is within the viewable area of the consumer’s display.  Then and only then is the ad counted as a delivered impression.

How does ServeView benefit advertisers?

The advertiser realizes better performance and return on investment (ROI) because every ad impression is seen.  No ad is served outside of the viewable area of the display, so there is no waste.  Essentially, we are optimizing ad rendering technology and measurement.  Advertisers are only billed for ads that appear in the viewable area, since those are the only ads that are served.

How does ServeView benefit the consumer?

Page load times are faster because fewer ads are being loaded with the initial page request.   Ads are loaded only when viewable, leaving more bandwidth for consumers to watch, read, comment, share and interact with content on each page faster.
