An impatient customer tossed ranch dressing at two store clerks, causing injury to one of the employees, according to Lee County, Fla., Sheriff's Office reports.
Around 1 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to the Handy store on Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres in reference to a disturbance.
A woman came into the store while two clerks were changing cash drawers and changing shifts.
The woman waiting in line with two bottles of ranch dressing became impatient. The first clerk told her she was changing shifts and it would be a few minutes, reports said.
The woman waiting in line called the first clerk a derogatory name and tossed the two bottles of ranch dressing at her. The first clerk told deputies the bottles struck her in the chin and chest.
One of the bottles landed on the counter in front of the first clerk, so she threw it back at the suspect. The suspect threw the bottle back at the first clerk, reports said.
The first clerk saw the bottle coming at her, so she stepped out of the way. The bottle struck the second clerk between the eyes, reports said.
The woman left the store and the second clerk went outside and got the license number on the suspect's vehicle.
The second clerk was bleeding and was transported to Lehigh Regional Hospital.
She suffered a minor cut between the eyes.
The suspect's vehicle information was turned over to deputies. No arrests have been made.
