MARLTON, N.J. and KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait, Oct. 13, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hill International (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today that the company, in association with System Development Project Management (SDPM), has received a contract from the Kuwait Ministry of Health to provide project and construction management services in connection with a major nationwide hospital expansion program. The three-year contract has an estimated value to the joint venture of approximately KWD 1.8 million ($6.2 million).
The Kuwait Ministry of Health, as part of its plans to further develop the country's hospital system, is embarking on a KWD 150 million ($513 million) program involving eight hospitals that will include new construction and the expansion and renovation of existing facilities. Hill and SDPM will provide project management and construction management services throughout all phases of the program.
