Oregon State Police gave an 82-year-old woman a ticket for driving 28 miles per hour over her age and twice the posted speed limit of 55 mph.
A trooper spotted Marcia Brandon's 2005 Pontiac Bonneville going 110 mph Thursday on Highway 26 west of Gresham, according to the state police news release on the incident.
She said she was on her way to an appointment and wasn't aware she was going that fast. The trooper who chased her down did note that she had her emergency flashers on as she overtook other cars.
The state police report did not note what sort of appointment it was.
Brandon was given a ticket for $1,103.
