DETROIT, Jan. 25, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dreams are the subject of the next show at the art gallery inside the world headquarters of Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR) that opens Friday, Jan. 28.
Boutique: A Compuware Gallery, will host "Eyes-A-Wide," a five-week show that will feature prints, painting and sculpture by local artists.
"This exhibition explores dreams in both their tangible and intangible sense," said Meg Heeres, gallery curator. "Dreams are a very human experience and affect all of us in distinct and important ways."
The show opens Friday with a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will be open to the public each Friday until March 4 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is located inside the Compuware atrium across from Campus Martius Park downtown.
The artists whose work will be shown include Walter Bailey, Christopher Batten, Halima Cassells, Donald Calloway, Alonzo Edwards, Allie McGhee, Kef Parker, Stephanie Hill-Ross and Ray Wells. The work of Peter Williams and Richard Lewis, from the Compuware collection, also will be shown.
