MARLTON, N.J., Jan. 31, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hill International (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today that it has promoted 12 executives to Senior Vice President or Vice President throughout the company.
Waleed I. Abdelfateh, of Hill's Cairo, Egypt office, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and North Africa Regional Manager. He has more than 15 years of experience as a project manager, construction contracts specialist, senior quantity surveyor and commercial manager working on projects in Egypt, Niger and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining Hill, Abdelfateh was Country Manager for James R. Knowles. He holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Ain Shams University in Egypt.
Gino D. Wideen, of Hill's Las Vegas, Nevada office, has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Wideen will continue to manage the Las Vegas office for Hill's Construction Claims Group as well as the company's subsidiary PCI Group. His background includes consulting on construction projects as well as management of large software implementation projects for government agencies, developers, general contractors and subcontractors.
Tiffany H. Banks, of Hill's Marlton, New Jersey office, has been promoted to Vice President of Human Resources. Banks has over ten years of experience in the field of human resource administration, compliance, policy and procedure implementation. Prior to joining Hill, she was Director of Human Resources with CBS Corp. Banks holds a B.A. in radio-television-film from Temple University and a J.D. from Villanova University.
Edward J. Biebel, of Hill's Marlton, New Jersey office, has been promoted to Vice President of Business Applications with Hill's Marketing Department. He has over 15 years of experience designing custom applications, programming and managing database systems. Prior to joining Hill, he was an Application Systems Designer with IBS Interactive. Biebel holds a B.S. in criminal justice from St. Joseph's University and an M.S. in computer science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Eladio Castrodad, P.E., of Hill's Miami, Florida office, has been promoted to Vice President. Castrodad has over 10 years of experience in the design and management of major construction projects. Prior to joining Hill, he was President of Castrodad and Prieto, Inc. He holds a B.A. in finance from Interamerican University, a B.S. in civil engineering from Florida International University and an M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Florida. Castrodad is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Puerto Rico and is a certified General Contractor in Florida.
Lance M. Rothstein, of Hill's Philadelphia office, has been promoted to Vice President. Rothstein has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, implementing and overseeing technological controls, managing programs and delivering construction projects. Prior to joining Hill, he was a Vice President of Real Estate Development with Carroll Contractors. He holds a B.A. in art from Williams College and an M.A. in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a registered architect in Pennsylvania.
Aileen R. Schwartz, of Hill's Marlton, New Jersey office, has been promoted to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. Schwartz has nearly 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Prior to joining Hill, she was General Counsel with the Quaker Group, a real estate development, investment and property management company. She holds a B.A. in fine arts and English and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the bars in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
Luigi Sebastiani, of Hill's Marlton, New Jersey office, has been promoted to Vice President and Controller. Sebastiani has more than 27 years of financial, construction and management experience. Prior to joining Hill, he was President of Greenwich Development. Sebastiani holds a B.S. in business administration from LaSalle University.
Raquel S. Shohet, PSP, of Hill's Las Vegas, Nevada office, has been promoted to Vice President. Shohet has more than 20 years of experience in the engineering, cost, scheduling, estimating and construction disciplines. Prior to joining Hill, Shohet was a Lead Field Schedule Engineer with Duke Energy. She holds an A.A. from Orange Coast College and a B.S.E. in civil engineering from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Shohet is a certified planning and scheduling professional.
Daniel P. Sokol, P.E., of Hill's Jacksonville, Florida office, has been promoted to Vice President. Sokol has more than 20 years of experience in construction and project management, claims analysis, quality assurance and quality control, and contract administration. Prior to joining Hill, Sokol was a Regional Director with dck worldwide. He holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.B.A. from Baldwin Wallace College. He is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Lawrence R. Veit, P.E., of Hill's Philadelphia office, has been promoted to Vice President. Veit has over 35 years of program and construction management experience. Prior to joining Hill, Veit was a Project Director with Day & Zimmermann. He holds a B.S. in commerce and engineering from Drexel University and is a registered professional engineer in seven states.
Marc S. Zaretsky, of Hill's New York City office, has been promoted to Vice President. Zaretsky has over 17 years of diverse legal and business experience in the energy and construction industries relating to project finance, project management, claims consulting as well as contractor and subcontractor dispute resolution. Prior to joining Hill, Zaretsky was an attorney in private practice. He earned his B.A. in banking and finance, his M.B.A. and his J.D. from Hofstra University.
