SAN DIEGO, Feb. 2, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, today announced that its Public Safety and Security (PSS) Division has been awarded a Master Service Agreement (MSA) contract to provide enterprise-wide security services to a major energy infrastructure business. The MSA is expected to have a value exceeding $1 million. Under the MSA, Kratos will design, engineer, and deploy a video surveillance and security system, including analytics technology, and a biometrics technology based access control system, integrated with related communications and command and control infrastructure. The critical infrastructure security work to be performed under this contract is expected to be completed in 2011.
Under the MSA, Kratos will provide systems integration and installation of enterprise-level video surveillance and access control equipment and infrastructure. The Kratos solution will include the use of CISCO security equipment, leveraging the developing relationship between the two companies in providing large-scale physical security solutions.
