Also Awarded Mentor-Protégé Agreement by Federal Government

Two Critical Milestones Accomplished in iGATE's Endeavor to Become Leading Provider to Federal Government

FREMONT, Calif., Feb. 28, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integrated Technology and Operations (iTOPS) company iGATE Corporation (Nasdaq:IGTE) has announced that it has bagged a Five Year Federal GSA Schedule IT Contract. The GSA Schedule Contract is a program whereby GSA establishes long-term, government-wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to millions of products and services. All Federal, State and Local government agencies will have all services offered by iGATE available to them.

iGATE has also been awarded a Mentor-Protégé agreement by the Federal Government. The Mentor-Protégé agreement was awarded to iGATE, together with AITHERAS LLC, from the Department of the Treasury and the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU).

Phaneesh Murthy, iGATE President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "These two contracts are important milestones in our endeavor to  become a leading technology provider to the Federal Government. Our role as a 'mentor' to AITHERAS LLC will enable us to expand our business as we reinforce our commitment to support small minority businesses that share our space."

The Mentor-Protégé Program is designed to motivate and encourage firms to assist small businesses, including HUBZone small businesses (HUBZone), small disadvantaged businesses (SDB), women-owned small businesses (WOSB), veteran-owned small business (VOSB), and service disabled veteran-owned small businesses in enhancing their capabilities.

The program is also designed to perform Department of the Treasury contracts and subcontracts, foster the establishment of long-term business relationships between these entities and Treasury prime contractors, and increase the overall number of these entities that receive Treasury contract and subcontract awards. Treasury and OSDBU believe that the Mentor-Protégé program offers small businesses an unparalleled opportunity to accelerate their development, thereby strengthening the U.S. economy.
