Spartanburg County deputies are investigating an unusual case of vandalism.

Several residents of a neighborhood called deputies after they found vehicles and mailboxes covered with an orange substance that deputies said “smells like French dressing.”

The salad dressing was all over vehicles at 724, 736, 740 and 748 Wofford Street. Mailboxes at 728, 732, 740 and 744 Wofford were also coated with dressing.
