The National Park Service is completing the installation of nine new water bottle filling stations inside Grand Canyon National Park.

The park service said in a news release the water filling stations are currently being installed in high traffic areas on both rims.

Six will be located on the South Rim and all will be equipped to provide year-round access to water. Installation should be completed by the end of March.

The park service says three water bottle filling stations will be located on the North Rim at North Kaibab Trailhead, the North Rim Visitor Center and the North Rim Backcountry Office and will be ready by summer.
