City National Bank Hires Matt Christensen in San Francisco as a Senior Vice President in Commercial Banking Services

SAN FRANCISCO, April 6, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- City National Bank today announced that it has hired Matt Christensen as a senior vice president and manager for its Commercial Banking Services (CBS) group in the San Francisco area. Christensen is a well-known banking professional who has worked in the financial services industry in San Francisco for nearly 30 years.

In his new capacity, Christensen will be responsible for developing new client relationships with mid-sized companies in the San Francisco area and matching their financial needs with solutions from City National.

Christensen will report to Arlene Gould, regional commercial banking manager for Northern California at City National Bank.

Christensen was formerly a senior vice president and client manager with Bank of America in Oakland and was previously a director and team leader for Merrill Lynch & Co. in the Western Region in San Francisco. Christensen also worked for GE Capital in San Francisco in various positions. He also worked at Union Bank, Security Pacific Corp. and Sanwa Business Credit.
