Officials at Disney Cruise Line say they'll be sending one of their cruise ships to Hawaii for the first time next year.

The company says the 964-foot Disney Wonder will arrive in Hawaii May 2012 as part of a 15-day cruise originating in Los Angeles.

The ship will make stops in Hilo, Kahului, Honolulu and Nawiliwili before heading to Ensenada, Mexico, then back to California.

Disney officials say the ship has a capacity for 2,700 guests. Rates for the cruise to Hawaii are expected to start at $1,800 per person.
