NEW YORK, April 13, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AdvoCare, a premier health and wellness company, officially announced the launch of the AdvoCare Recreational Sports League Sponsorship Program. In its first season this spring, AdvoCare will activate 14 local adult sports league sponsorships in nine different markets that include everything from soccer leagues in Seattle to flag football tournaments in Orlando.
The sponsorship program is organized and managed by Sportsvite, the leading online community and digital platform for recreational sports. Sponsorships will be activated through both grassroots, experiential and digital elements. On-site promotion includes sampling of AdvoCare Spark® Energy Drink and Rehydrate Electrolyte Replacement Drink as well as AdvoCare branding and access to league activities and events. Sponsorships are designed to allow local AdvoCare Independent Distributors to connect directly with active young adults and put product into players' hands at the playing field.
Sponsored leagues will have playoffs and championship games officially branded as AdvoCare Bowls or The AdvoCare Cup. AdvoCare also provides a championship stipend to enhance the experience for players. These unique activations include personalized trophies, championship shirts and professionally produced game DVDs. Championship events complement the success of AdvoCare with their existing sponsorship of the AdvoCare V100™ Independence Bowl college football game.
The AdvoCare Rec League Microsite, integrated within Sportsvite and league partner websites, features partner league profiles, photos and videos galleries, blog posts from AdvoCare sponsored events, and links to more information on the AdvoCare products and business opportunity.
AdvoCare Marketing Vice President Jan Wold notes the sponsorship also aims to increase brand awareness for AdvoCare with a demographic that can benefit from knowing more about AdvoCare. "We thought of the active people at these parks and playing fields and said, 'This is exactly who we need to reach! '" Wold says. "This sponsorship program allows us to do just that."
Based on the results of the inaugural program, AdvoCare will consider growing the sports league sponsorship program in future seasons to markets where AdvoCare Independent Distributors have a strong presence. In order to create this national program, AdvoCare has leveraged Sportsvite's Recreational Sports Network (RSN), an aggregation of over 1000 adult sports organizations linked together to meet the growing demand for national brands to reach local markets and people with active lifestyles.
Sportsvite General Manager Brian Litvack noted," I give AdvoCare tremendous credit for recognizing the value of sponsoring recreational sports in a way that enhances the player's experience during games and activities. AdvoCare has brought their own A-Game in developing a new and unique property that they can fully own in the crowded field of sports sponsorship."
As spring seasons kick off this month excitement begins to build. "Sportsvite and our Distributors are playing key roles on what we feel is a championship team," says Wold adding, "We're excited about the season ahead!"
