WSFS' Commitment to the Community Extends Locally and Globally

WILMINGTON, Del., April 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:WSFS), the parent company of WSFS Bank, today announced that its Associates and Board of Directors donated $18,000 to disaster relief efforts in Japan. WSFS matched all contributions dollar-for-dollar bringing the total donated to the American Red Cross Japan relief efforts to $36,000. Since its founding in 1881, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization distinguishing itself by aiding victims of devastating natural disasters.

Closer to home, WSFS Associates continued their ongoing support of the United Way ofDelaware, in which a record $200,000 was pledged during the Fall 2010 annual fundraising campaign. The United Way of Delaware maximizes the community's resources to improve the quality of life for all Delawareans byfocusing on the most critical human needs to achieve results that matter and that have a lasting impact.
