NASDAQ-100 Index(R) Special Rebalance Closing Cross to Take Place at The NASDAQ Stock Market Closing Bell

What:

The NASDAQ-100 Index® (Nasdaq:NDX), will undergo a Special Rebalance effective prior to market open on Monday, May 2, 2011.

The NASDAQ-100 Special Rebalance will be based on the NASDAQ Official Closing Price as determined by the NASDAQ Closing Cross® on Friday, April 29th, 2011 and will result in a market event similar to the Russell Reconstitution.

In honor of the occasion, John Jacobs, Head of The NASDAQ OMX Global Index Group, will preside over the NASDAQ Closing Bell.
