The title for the longest freestyle rap goes to Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege, who rapped for more than nine hours, beating the previous record holder by three minutes longer, according to the Guinness World Records.
Philadelphia-based rapper Chiddy freestyle rapped — a rapping style that involves on-the-spot rhymes rather than prepared lyrics — for a total of 9 hours, 18 minutes and 22 seconds. The record attempt was part of the 2011 Online Music Awards, held at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on April 29th.
To get ideas for his continuous, hours-long rap, Chiddy turned to Twitter, where people tweeted rhyme suggestions with the hashtag #rapworldrecord.
The longest freestyle rap title was previously held by M-Eighty of Indianapolis and was for 9 hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds.
