BOISE, Idaho, June 6, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB:AEHI) () today announced the company will take part in the final stage of rezone hearings this evening in Payette County, Idaho, which if approved, will allow the company to move forward in the federal process prior to building a nuclear power plant in Idaho.
AEHI supporters living in the area are encouraged to attend and testify. Those who live elsewhere are asked to email their testimonies to email@example.com by 5 p.m. MDT.
The hearing is scheduled for Monday, June 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. MDT in the Payette High School auditorium. The auditorium is a large white dome structure located near Payette High School at 1500 6th Avenue South in Payette.
"This is the most important moment for AEHI thus far. County Commissioners have already approved a change to their comprehensive plan specifically for a nuclear power plant and since then Planning and Zoning Commissioners recommended approval for the final rezone. I hope to see every AEHI supporter at the hearing and testifying in favor of building a nuclear power plant, as I believe it will play a tremendous role in the Commissioner's final decision. Previous hearings have seen very high percentages of support in the 70 and 80 percent range," said Don Gillispie, AEHI CEO.
