Hewlett-Packard Co. chairman and chief executive Carly Fiorina and Marsh & McClennan Cos. chairman and CEO Jeffrey Greenberg have been appointed to the New York Stock Exchange's board of executives, the exchange said Tuesday.
The board of executives is an advisory board made up of the NYSE's main constituents — investment bankers, institutional investors, pension funds, traders and representatives of listed companies.
Fiorina and Greenberg joined Viacom Inc. president and chief operating officer Mel Karmazin and Altria Group Inc. chairman and CEO Louis Camilleri as representatives of NYSE-listed companies.
The board of executives meets six times each year to discuss the exchange, and meets jointly with the NYSE board of directors. Board of executive members are appointed annually by the board of directors.
