Who’s more of a regular guy?

A national poll indicates President Bush has the edge over Democratic rival John Kerry in that category.

The poll says more registered voters surveyed would rather have a barbecue with Bush than Kerry. Half picked Bush as the man they’d rather flip burgers and drink beer with, while 39 percent chose Kerry and 11 percent didn’t know or wouldn’t answer the question.

More voters surveyed would also trust Bush to run the family business. But they were evenly split on whether they would rather have Kerry or Bush teach their kids. They were also evenly split on who to vote for.

The poll from Quinnipiac University questioned more than 1,100 registered voters this month. It has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points.
