Construction company Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. received a $44 million contract to build a federal courthouse in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
The contract, awarded by the U.S. General Services Administration, is for a 161,792-square-foot facility to be completed in 2006, the company said.
Government contracts provide a large part of Jacobs' revenue. The company has built 13 U.S. courthouses and is currently working on 14 more.
Shares of Jacobs were down 54 cents, or 1.2 percent, to $43.39 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
