Restaurant-chain operator AFC Enterprises Inc. said Tuesday it has named Kenneth Keymer president of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits.
Keymer replaces Dick Holbrook, AFC president and chief operating officer, who had held the position on an interim basis.
In his new role, Keymer, 56, will lead the Popeyes team in reengineering operations, enhancing franchise support systems, developing menu offerings and focusing on the maximization of brand value, AFC said.
The Popeyes restaurant chain currently has about 1,805 locations.
Keymer most recently worked at Noodles & Co., where he served as president and co-chief executive officer, as well as board member.
AFC is an Atlanta-based franchisor and operator of about 4,100 restaurants, bakeries and cafes under the brand names Popeyes, Church's Chicken and Cinnabon. AFC is also the franchisor of Seattle's Best Coffee in Hawaii, on military bases and internationally.
