Oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. expects its board to elect Donald D. Humphreys to replace the outgoing Frank A. Risch as vice president and treasurer July 1, the company said Wednesday.

Humphreys, who joined the company in 1976, is Exxon Mobil's vice president and controller, a position he has held since 1997. Risch, a 38-year veteran of the company, will retire from Exxon Mobil on June 30, the company said.

If the board approves Humphreys, Patrick T. Mulva, a 28-year veteran and vice president for investor relations and secretary since February 2002, will succeed Humphreys as vice president and controller.

Henry H. Hubble, general manager of operations and best practices of the company's Fairfax, Va., refining and supply company since 2000, would succeed Mulva, the company said.
