North Carolina Republican Rep. George Holding caught a bit of shut-eye Thursday—while at the helm of the House of Representatives.
Holding was caught resting his eyes by C-SPAN during an extended speech by Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert, who was speaking at length about efforts to repeal Obamacare.
Roughly 40 minutes into Gohmert’s address, Holding is seen with his eyes closed, head propped up against one of his hands. He perks up and eyes the camera, before sitting up and readjusting in his chair. The camera then panned back to Gohmert, who spoke for another 20 minutes.
Though C-SPAN broadcast the cat nap, the cameras themselves are controlled from within the House.
Gohmert is known for his extended, rambling speeches, according to NBC News, usually given at the end of the day.
