“I do have a lot of stories, I actually have some amazing stories, a couple of which I can’t tell,” the Nashville star said about former college roommate Kirsten Gillibrand.
Small world, much?
Turns out Nashville star Connie Britton and New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D) were college roommates.
The pair studied at Dartmouth University and lived together while studying Chinese in Beijing, Britton revealed on Tuesday’s Morning Joe.
“She was my roommate in China, we studied Chinese together,” Britton said. ”We shared a dorm room in Beijing which consisted of a kind of concrete room and two straw mats.”
“You’ve got to have some stories!” co-host Mika Brzezinski said.
“I do have a lot of stories, I actually have some amazing stories, a couple of which I can’t tell,” Britton said with a grin. “We were there over the summer so we were there over Fourth of July and the American embassy had a big Fourth of July party and part of that was doing a lip sync contest and Kirsten and two other girlfriends of ours did a Madonna song. Can’t remember exactly which one but let me just say, we won the contest!”
