The Lake County Health Department caught fire Wednesday morning, according to the Painesville Police Department. The fire broke out at about 6 a.m. at the Health District on Mill Street. Several departments helped battle the blaze. NewsChannel5 learned that the building was full of smoke. Firefighters cut holes into the roof to get the blaze under control. The Lake County General Health District will temporarily be located in the basement assembly room of the Lake County Administration Building. The building will not be reopened for 4-6 months.
