Two men were shocked while trimming trees in Largo on Wednesday.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the call at 1031 Tallowood Drive in unincorporated Largo just before 4 p.m.

A sheriff's spokesperson says the two men with the Happy Palms Tree Service were trimming trees and were attempting to move a ladder when it struck power lines above them.

Both men were transported to a local hospital.

50-year-old Lance Russel was transported to a local hospital via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. 32-year-old Steven Hansen was transported to a local hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

The incident does appear to be accidental and not suspicious in nature.
