MSNBC.com Adds New Marketing VP
For Immediate Release - MSNBC.com, a leader in breaking news and original journalism on the Internet, announces the addition of Catherine Captain to its leadership team. Captain will drive all Marketing functions within the company including Advertising, Public Relations, Consumer Research, User Experience and more. She joins the MSNBC.com team from USA Today, where she served as Director of Marketing Research.

With nearly a decade of marketing leadership at USA Today, Captain is a savvy marketer adept at developing bottom-line actionable plans that benefit the full marketing trifecta - company, consumer and advertiser.

Captain received her master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree in English and Journalism from the University of Iowa.
