Hundreds of thousands of people are evacuating the Texas gulf coast. A few of those evacuees are now staying in Wichita and the Red Cross is expecting many more to come. James Anderson of Derby has spent the last couple of days helping six loved ones navigate their way from Houston to Kansas. They're among the millions of folks battling long lines of traffic.

Anderson tried to give them directions over the cell phone but even that is difficult.

"There are so many people trying to use their phones, their circuits are busy so you're like calling back," Anderson says.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross has started getting calls for help for the Rita evacuees.

If you'd like to make a donation you can contact the Red Cross at 219-4052.
