More Than a Game: How Virtual Reality is Helping Heal Soldiers with PTSD


Using virtual reality as a form of exposure therapy has been beneficial for soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD. Developed in part by Dr. JoAnn Difede at Cornell-Weill Medical Center and a life-changer for former Marine and current medical student Jimmy Castellanos, the idea of using VR to treat PTSD is an idea currently gaining a lot of momentum.
