Chloe Kim successfully defended her title in the X Games women's snowboard superpipe event on Sunday in Aspen, Colorado, becoming the first-ever athlete to win two X Games gold medals under the age of 16.

The 15-year-old Korean-American snowboarder, who last year became the youngest-ever athlete to win a gold medal at the X Games, scored 95 points on her second run of the day after falling on her first. US Snowboarding teammate Arielle Gold, who was slated to compete in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics but had to pull out due to an injury sustained during warm-ups, placed second with 86 points. Chinese competitor Cai Xuetong placed third with 80.33 points.
