"Master of None" will return for its second season in 2017, Aziz Ansari announced Thursday on social media.

The show, which won Best Comedy Series at the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards, will return to Netflix, where its first season was released for streaming in November 2015.

Although its first season was met with critical and popular acclaim, both Ansari and co-creator Alan Yang had been vague on specifics for a second season.

"We really put a lot of aspects of our life into this show, and that’s part of the reason we don’t want to rush into season two," Yang said during a Netflix presentation at the Television Critics Association in January.

Ansari agreed, saying, "The first season was so personal, I just want to make sure whatever we do for season two lives up to what we did in the first season.”
