Model Chrissy Teigen has some good news to share.
In separate Instagram posts Monday night, Teigen and her husband, musician John Legend, announced they are expecting their first child.
"As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now," Teigen wrote on Instagram. "It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!"
The black and white Instagram photo shows Teigen laying on a couch while Legend touches her stomach.
Legend shared Teigen's photo with his own short caption: "We're pregnant!"
Teigen spoke candidly last month about the trouble she and Legend had with trying to conceive. In a segment with Tyra Banks on their daytime talk show "FABlife," Teigen revealed her and Legend's struggle, which included visits to fertility doctors. "We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened," she said. "But my gosh, it's been a process."
Banks congratulated Teigen Monday night on Twitter: "My baby is having a baby. Love you (and your bundle that is not even here yet) so much @chrissyteigen."
Teigen's announcement could be one of many in the couple's future. Earlier this year, Teigen told People Magazine, "We love kids. I picture us with three or four."
