The man who made a scene at a Woody Allen movie set in Rhode Island this week — allegedly hurling furniture and demanding an audience with the prolific director — was ordered Wednesday to undergo a mental evaluation. Mark Spiridakos, 45, appeared disheveled in Providence District Court wearing a hospital gown and bandages wrapped around his head, reported NBC affiliate WHDH. He did not enter a plea in the assault charges against him, and was granted $10,000 bail.

Spiridakos allegedly crashed the set Tuesday of Allen's latest unnamed project starring Emma Stone, asking, “Where are the actors?” and “Where is Woody Allen? Where is he?” as he grabbed a security guard. He also threw a metal chair and an ice cooler at guards, according to police. He had to be wrestled to the ground but broke loose, bolting into a nearby hair salon, witnesses told WHDH. “He came running up the stairs, ran into the salon, covered in blood, security chasing him,” said hairdresser Jennifer Keller. Employees and clients were stunned. “Well, we didn’t know if it was a scene from the movie,” Keller added. Spiridakos must return to court next week. He could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
