A Florida man sought in the killings of his wife, a pastor at the church where she worked, and another woman Thursday was arrested Saturday not far from the church where one of the bodies was found.
Andres "Andy" Avalos Jr. was taken into custody just before 4 p.m. in a mobile home park in Bradenton, about a mile away from Bayshore Baptist Church where the pastor James "Tripp" Battle was found shot to death at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, NBC station WFLA reported. The bodies of Avalos’ wife, Amber Avalos, and a neighbor, 45-year-old Denise Potter, at Avalos' home.
Avalos was charged with murder and taken to Manatee County Jail, the station reported. The Avaloses have six children. All were at school when the bodies were found and are being cared for by a relative, authorities said.
