Suspect in Palmetto, Florida, Convenience Store Killings in Custody

Investigators had been hunting for the man after two brothers were fatally shot Monday while working in their father's Palmetto convenience store.

Authorities have arrested a man suspected of shooting two brothers execution-style at a Florida convenience store.

Devin Chandler, 25, was arrested Tuesday, Manatee County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dave Bristow told NBC News. Investigators had been hunting for Chandler after Khasem Yousef, 23, and Faares Yousef, 17, were fatally shot Monday afternoon while working behind the counter of their father's Palmetto convenience store.

Palmetto Police Chief Scott Tyler told NBC affiliate WFLA that surveillance video from the store showed Chandler opening fire on the brothers. A customer discovered their bodies.

“The individual went into the store, and the two employees that were killed were at the front counter, and he walked up and shot them. Shot them in the head," Palmetto Police Chief Scott Tyler told the station.

Warrants issued for Chandler’s arrest charged him with two counts of homicide and one count of armed robbery. He was caught in Tampa without incident, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
