Ringo, a 1 1/2-year-old male sea lion, was returned home to the Palomino Islands near Peru on Tuesday.

The young sea lion was found in April with serious injuries to its head and left eye.

An animal advocacy group nursed Ringo back to health over six weeks and returned him to his home on the Pacific islands.
