America Ferrera Weighs In On Latino Vote And 2016 Race

Actress and activist America Ferrera gives her take on why the Latino vote in the Texas primary is critical.

Actress and activist America Ferrera spoke to MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts from Texas and gave her take on why the Latino vote in the Texas primary is critical, and discussed how Texas could face the most voting restrictions in 2016.

“Here in Texas, there are 4.8 million eligible Latino voters, that’s about 28% of the whole Texas electoral,” she said, “It’s incredibly important that we get out, especially with what’s at stake with our community in this election with a lot of the very hateful rhetoric coming from the GOP side.”

Ferrera is working in Texas with Voto Latino to get Latino voters to have the right the information to get out and vote.
