HAVANA, Cuba - After decades of absence, the art of knife throwing is making a comeback to the Cuban Circus.

American David Adamovich, best known as the Great Throwdini, came to Circuba Festival to compete in one of the event’s categories as knife thrower.

Aside from his performance and competition, the Great Throwdini is giving workshops to Cuban kids interested in the art of knife throwing. Throwdini is performing in Circuba until Tuesday, July 19.

The Great Throwdini has set or broken some 40 world records, mostly for knife throwing speed and accuracy. In fact, one of his records was selected as “One of the Top 100 Guinness World Records of All Time” in a TV special by NBC.
