World-famous Mexican rock group Maná kicks off their "Latino Power Tour" Friday in San Diego to inspire American Hispanics to vote in the next election. Speaking about 2016, the band's members minced no words about their views of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

"We have a candidate that has spoken terrible things about Mexicans, about the Latino community, about people that are living here illegally even though these are hard-working people helping construct the economy of the United States," said drummer Alejandro González Trujillo, who is better known as Alex González.

González said it is important for Latinos in the United States know that they have the power to change the trajectory of the country and make an impact in the election.

"Democrat or Republican? It doesn't matter. Go out and vote," González said. "Your vote can make a difference, and that's what we want to tell people, especially people that are not registered."
