While Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony has been decorated with numerous GRAMMY awards, Latin GRAMMYs and Billboard Latin Music Awards, he recently took home a different kind of honor: his second Guinness World Record.

At his first New York City concert in over 10 years, the Guinness World Records recognized Anthony for having the most year-end best-selling albums in the tropical albums' chart by a solo artist. He received the honor in Madison Square Garden in front of a sold-out audience.

“I cannot think of a better way of celebrating my return to Madison Square Garden and be presented with this recognition here at home, where everything began with just a dream," he said in a statement. "I am honored to receive this special recognition from Guinness World Records."

His albums Desde un Principio: From the Beginning in 2000; Libre in 2002 and 3.0 2013 were the best-selling tropical albums in their respective years. The Guinness World Records Committee waited until Anthony's comeback performance to present the honor.

This is Anthony's second Guinness World Record, his first was for being the top-selling tropical salsa artist of all time.
