NEW YORK, NY -- When a group of die-hard fans really dedicate themselves, they can accomplish almost anything. One New York Romeísta, Jennifer Nieves, is gathering thousands of signatures on Change.org in hopes to get her beloved idol Romeo Santos a wax figure at the infamous Madame Tussauds in New York City.

Nieves, who is from the Bronx, the same place where Romeo Santos grew up, created the petition a month ago and has already gained the attention of the “King of Bachata.” He tweeted out the petition from his account.

The petition, which now has close to 5,000 signatures, recalls the singer’s humble beginnings and his rise to fame.

“It is by request and high demand that Romeo Santos truly deserves this wax figure to honor his great success. From his beloved smile, dance moves, skills, and smooth voice that drives all his Romeistas crazy, he truly deserves a place at The Madame Tussauds in New York City,” says the petition.

If Madame Tussauds were to create this figure, Romeo Santos would join famous Latinos wax figures like Leo Messi, Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Vergara and Ricky Martin.
