Colombian-born and raised actress Sofía Vergara is in a tie with Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting as the world's highest-paid TV actress, reported Forbes Magazine.
Vergara, whom many of us know as "Gloria" in ABC's "Modern Family," made $28.5 million before taxes between June 1, 2014, and June 1, 2015, to rank as the world’s highest-paid TV actresses. Cuoco-Sweeting, one of the stars in The Big Bang Theory, made the same amount.
While most of us would consider that a ton of money, Forbes reports that the two actresses lag far behind the money made by film actresses. Jennifer Lawrence, the highest-paid film actress, made almost double what Vergara made in a year - Lawrence earned $52 million in one year.
