Country rocker and rapper Kid Rock was caught on video lashing out at Oprah Winfrey in a vulgar rant while on stage at his Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse in Nashville, Tennesee.
"I’m like, Oprah Winfrey or Joy Behar, they can suck d--- sideways," Rock said, according to the video published on TMZ Friday.
“F--- Oprah Winfrey and f--- Kathie Lee Gifford,” he continued saying as someone in the audience described him as a "blackout drunk.”
Rock continuously repeated the same phrases throughout his rant against Winfrey and other women who have hosted talk shows until he suddenly believed he would be accused of being racist based on his on stage remarks.
To those who would say, “‘Well, I’m pretty sure Kid Rock’s a racist,” he said, “I’m, like, ‘Fine. F--- off,’ sideways.”
The Morning Rundown
Get a head start on the morning's top stories.
“I’m not the bad guy in this equation,” Rock continued saying. “I’m the f–--in’ guy you want, like, hey, he’s pretty cool.”
After his outburst against Winfrey, "The View" co-host Joy Behar and TV presenter Kathie Lee Gifford, Rock was reluctantly escorted offstage by the venue's security team.
Hours after video of the incident was widely shared on social media, Rock tweeted that his "people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show… I said f--- that and her. End of story."
This is not the first time Rock has publicly lashed out at prominent women in the entertainment industry.
In August, he accused pop star Taylor Swift of wanting "to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period."
"And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl," he tweeted on Aug. 9.
Rock got himself fired from his role as the Nashville Christmas Parade's grand marshal last year following a “Fox & Friends” TV appearance in which he called Behar a “b----.”
In 2008, he referred to Winfrey as his "real-life villain," adding that he doesn't believe her "because I'm not one of the 150 million brainwashed women who heed her every word."
Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse, where his latest incident took place, faced some controversy back in January after a huge neon sign showing a facsimile of a woman’s buttocks was installed at the premises. Nashville’s city council ultimately allowed him to keep the sign despite strong opposition from some members who felt the image would leave tourists with a vulgar impression of the city.
