On Tuesday evening, Venus and Serena Williams sisters will meet in the quarterfinals of the 2015 U.S. Open Tennis Championships in New York City.

Much is at stake for both parties, as Serena attempts to become the first player in 27 years to win all four major titles in a single season, and Venus seeks to win her first major in 7 years.

On the whole denying-your-sister-history thing, Venus explained the internal dilemma:

“I don’t think anyone wants to be a spoiler. I think people love to see history being made,” she said in a recent interview. “No one is out to be a spoiler, but at the same time, you’re focused on winning your match, even though the circumstances are really much different.”
