For many of us who live and work in New York, seeing the rise of One World Trade Center means a lot, and it got us thinking — what’s your meaningful space?
We want to see it. Is it your school, your church, a ballpark, or maybe it's the place where you met your best friend? “Seeing Tower One rise out of the ashes of ground zero in the last few years has been an amazing sight – not because I think it’s this great example of modern architecture, but because it’s become a powerful symbol of resilience and recovery.
As I photographed the twin towers falling on Sept. 11, I never imagined that one day I’d casually be able to aim my phone toward lower Manhattan and record this powerful symbol.”
