China Claims Gold in Diving World Cup Competition

Rookie Huang Xiaohui of China took home the gold in the women's 10-meter platform at the FINA Diving World Cup in Shanghai on Friday.

Huang took the gold in the event, claiming her first major individual title in the women's 10-meter platform and besting team-mate Liu Huixia.

Created in 1979, the FINA World Cup is a bi-annual, six-day event testing the best divers from around the world in competition for nine titles: women's and men's 3m springboard, 10m platform, 3m springboard synchrom, 10m platform synchro, as well as a team event. This year's event takes place in Shanghai from July 15-20.
