Competitors ride through a dry river bed during the longest stage of the annual Absa Cape Epic mountain bike stage race near Cape Town, South Africa, on Wednesday. Stage 3 was just over 83 miles long and had a cutoff time of ten hours. The multi-day stage race is known as the 'Tour de France' of mountain biking and sees 1,200 competitors riding nearly 450 miles in seven days. The competition draws the worlds leading professional racers as well as amateur cyclists.
