One man is dead and four other people are stable after a shooting at Coney Island Beach in New York City on Saturday night, police said.
Police responded to a call late Saturday at the Coney Island Beach boardwalk and determined that five people had been shot, New York police said in a statement.
The victims were taken to a hospital, where a 42-year-old man who was shot in the back was pronounced dead. The four other victims — a 49-year-old woman who was shot in her right leg, a 34-year-old woman who was shot in her right foot, a 46-year-old man who was shot in his left leg and an "unidentified adult male" who was shot in his left leg — were all stable, police said.
The victims’ identities were not immediately known.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation continues, police said.
