Police have arrested a 22-year-old Connecticut man accused of punching two teens in the face because he thought they had knocked over his snowman.
James Knudsen, of Old Mill Road in Norwich, entered a neighbor’s home on Thursday without permission and assaulted at least two teens inside, police say.
Witnesses told police that Knudsen forced his way into the victims' home, damaged the door, grabbed a pool stick and swung it over his head, and tried to confront the teens.
At some point during the incident, Knudsen dropped the pool stick and allegedly punched a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old in the face. The teens suffered minor injuries but did not need medical attention.
Police said they believe Knudsen allegedly attacked the teens because he thought the teens had knocked down a snowman in Knudsen’s yard earlier in the day.
Knudsen was charged with home invasion, second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, three counts of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
He is being held on a $5,000 bond and is due to appear in Middletown Superior Court today.
