Thanksgiving turned from joyful to frightening when a deck gave way in Greenville, South Carolina, plunging 29 holiday celebrants 15 feet to the concrete below. Twenty-two people were taken to the hospital, six with serious injuries, including broken bones, Boiling Springs Fire Chief Steve Graham told NBC affiliate WYFF. None of the injuries were life threatening. The victims had gathered on the deck to take a Thanksgiving holiday picture, Graham said. Some senior citizens were among those injured in the collapse, which happened at 4:15 p.m. ET.
